A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Tulips of Orange

Here is the first picture of my Orange Angelique Tulips. I really love the color...not quite orange, but a beautiful shade of peach. I hope that they come back again next year. Our Angeliques at Mary's Garden are back for the third year...they are a blush color. I'll take more pictures today...it's supposed to be a beautiful day. The morning is already...newly mown lawn...a carpet of bright green grass..newly mulched beds...no weeds showing...newly weeded woods border...buckets of weeds and a sore right arm to prove it. I have some plants just waiting to be planted in the yard. I put them in my lawn cart and roll them in and out of the garage daily. I have a Mandevilla from last year that was just screaming to get outside, a dark maroon begonia, some Dipledenia plants..one with a couple of buds, my cactus collection for the front porch, and of course my Amaryllis bulbs waiting for their summer home. I'm going to wait a bit before I put these plants in the garden. I hope that our warm weather is here to stay, but you never know.

A report on the robin nest in the wreath. Four bright blue eggs and mama and papa are flying back and forth when we open the door. I just tell them that they are living here..rent free...this is my porch and we have to share.
Hope that your  weather is as nice as it is here today.

What progress you have made already! Wish I were that far along on everything. I like those orange Angelique tulips! A friend gave me a bouquet of the pink ones a few years ago. Oh, how pretty they were. The peach color would go well with the color of our house (the stone). Maybe someday I will get up enough umph to put some in, but don't hold your breath. Until then, I will just look at yours :)

Tulips....I just love them.

Hey, you might think about starting a weekly or monthly meme about how we save money. That's a great idea you had.

I love your orange tulips. I am an "orange" lover.

It is not all that warm here -- in the 50's.

I saved a Mandevilla vine in my basement and it has some green shoots, so I am thrilled! I can't bring mine out until the end of May.

Happy Mother's Day weekend, Balisha.
