A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Snowflake Coming Down..by Balisha

The plants were all abuzz a day or two ago. The calendar said spring... an exciting time I know. The pretty Mandevilla was leaning toward the sun.. She'd had enough of winter...her time inside was done. The seedlings all were talking in their trays a way downstairs, "To keep us in the basement really isn't fair. What's up with our Balisha...she hasn't got a clue, She's mad at Mother Nature and doesn't know just what to do." Balisha looks out the window and a tear comes to her eye.. A snowflake floating down has made her want to cry. Will we ever have a spring with days so warm and sunny? The critters all are hiding...this cold just isn't funny. She looks out the big front door and sees her garden fair, The hens and chicks are huddled in their planter on the chair. They haven't changed their color or begun to multiply.. The cold is what's the problem...we know the reason why. Gardeners practice patience each and every day.. This spring we'll need it more.. is all I'm going to say. I guess we better just ignore the weather man each day, And soon the temps will say...it's safe to come out and play. So, this morning it's April fair, and as I take a look around, I shade my eyes so I won't see.. a snowflake coming down. Balisha

Snow!!!!!! Oh dear! Its been cold and cloudy here for so long the sun is a surprise! I think back to warm for this weekend but more rain forecast for Monday. I am trying to not complain and reminding myself just how dry it has been here in the summer for the last 2 years. I guess God knows best. Hope your birthday was super!

You said it all quite well my friend. I am so blue about this cold spring with snow. You just know it is going to go from one extreme to the other. LOL! Great poem and I like the header picture so much.

How frustrating it must be to see snow when you already have seedlings ready to go outside.

I have given up trying to start anything inside and just wait it out until the end of May when it might be safe to put tender plants in the ground. I say might because we almost always have frost beyond May 31.

I guess my short season is why I enjoy the flowers so much.

Wishing you warmer weather soon!

We are slowly getting there! I mowed my yard yesterday for the first time. It was in the 50s here but the grass is already tall. Today, back to the 60s. You are just a little behind us I think. The sun is shining beautiful here today. Bob is all excited about the final four and Ky. playing this evening. I am excited about the sun. lol. Have a great weekend.
