A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Surprise for You....A Prize Drawing

My post number 1000 will be coming up soon. Right now I am at 935...so I was thinking that I would like to have a giveaway on the day I hit 1000 to show my appreciation to those of you who read my posts. So here is the way I will do it. From the day of my 950th post...I will be collecting people's names who comment. You will have about 50 days to comment. At the end of each day, I will put the commenter's names in a glass jar. On the day that I hit 1000, I will draw a name from that jar. So, the more you comment, the more times your name goes in the jar. So, on or about the 23rd of Jan... I will start collecting comments and right around St. Patrick's day I will draw the name.
The prize will be something that I am painting. This will be fun, I think. A couple of teases and hints along the way to tempt you.
Balisha ;)

LOL! Love Lucy! What an accomplishment Balisha that 1000 postings will be. Right now I am in such a blogging lull.I've got nothing. Too cold and snowy to even think right now LOL! Sounds like a fun contest.

A novel way to draw comments on y your blog. I am certainly impressed with getting up to 1000. I am only just over half way there.

Hi Balisha,
That sounds pretty ambitious on your part--collecting all the comments for 50 days! Wow!

This sounds like so much fun. I would totally love one of your paintings so I will probably be around a lot. I remember when you had not been blogging long and now 1,000 posts. Remember that old Virginia Slims commercial, "You've Come A Long Way Baby!" I'll be back more often.

Hi, it's been forever since I have commented. I read all your posts and am jealous by the beauty of your yard. My life is so not ready to induldge in my yard but I see your pictures and dream! Since moving I have wonderful grapes from an overgrown ungroomed grapevine and made juice (first time ever!). I cut it back to nothing and hope I didn't kill it right off! I did the same with raspberries bushes I didn't know I had until my stepmom told me. My backyard is cement, it is a pool. So my goal is to have beautiful potted plants sat around looking like tropical paradise - ha!
Congrats on 1000 posts. Your blog is my fresh air!

Hi Lona,
I've been writing such boring posts (I think) that I thought of doing this give away as a way to get me painting, get more comments, and be able to open my mind up to some new things. It's working already. Balisha

Hi Elenka,
I just sit here and type what comes in my head. I've thought that maybe I should take more time and write a more interesting post.
