A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Who Is That Cleaning Our Gutters?

Joe called me to the door this afternoon to see who came to clean the gutters. I did a double take...it was our neighbor boy, Bryce up in the bucket by himself. The family cleaned our gutters last year when we were gone and we never knew that they did it. This fall we heard a noise and a truck was pulling into our yard with the bucket attached. Bryce was in the driver's seat. I think he is 12. His Mom and Dad give him many grown up things to do. He is so reliable and helpful. He comes over and rakes our leaves without our asking him. He is Audra's brother and she helps me a lot too.
Bryce operated the bucket himself. He avoided bumping into the gutters and paid attention to what he was doing. He maneuvered the bucket up and down...not in a show off way.

His Dad was on the ground just to be safe...there to answer Bryce's questions, should he have any. Bryce used a small powerful leaf blower to blow the leaves out. The gutters were dirty.
Here he is again. He loves doing all things mechanical. He drove a golf cart around our yards a couple of years ago, giving the kids a ride at their family birthday party. He's never wild or crazy...Very serious about what he is doing. He's mowed their lawn for a couple of years now with a riding mower. Last year his Dad bought a Gator and Bryce drives that around with Audra as a passenger.

Now he is starting to come down. The job didn't take long. We thought this was an unusual way to do this job. No one had to climb a ladder. Not everyone owns a bucket....but Bryce is glad that his Dad does I'll bet. He swept the sidewalks and he and his Dad drove away to their house next door. This helped us so much. We were so thankful. They are just the best neighbors...and the kids are great.

I had never seen nor heard of anyone doing the gutters that way, but what a splendid idea! Now, let me see, nope I don't have room in my garage for one of those.

What great neighbors! But I'll bet you are a great neighbor too, Balisha.

I've never seen it done that way either. They don't keep it in their garage...though they have a huge garage...I think they keep it at a family members house.

We are good to their kids and take a lot of time with Audra especially. Bryce is involved in sports, and she is around a lot more.

I wish I had some kids around here like those two. Most of our neighborhood kids are into all kinds of trouble because the parents never spend any time with them. Shows what happens when you do spend time with your children! A great idea. He could probably make some money doing that.

What a great idea. You can imagine what my gutters look like with me at the edge of the woods.
Have neighbor young man who is suppose to arrive soon to clean my gutters.

Wow - that's a fantastic way to clean the gutters! Seems so much safer than a ladder.

You're so fortunate having such a mutually-supportive relationship with your neighbors Balisha.

I hardly know our neighbors at all. We all wave and smile to each other, but folks around here pretty much keep to themselves.

An interesting article. We also highly advice you to keep your drainage systems clean and functional. In case you don't have the required time do not hesitate on calling professionals.

What a blessing to have your gutters cleaned while you were away.
