A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Black Friday Shopping by Balisha

Talking to a friend last night who is my very age..
We said that we'd be home at 4 and really not engage..
In Black Friday shopping.. it's really not our style.
I'll stay in down filled nest and sleep a little while.
The clock said 4...I turned.. to tease my hubby Joe..
"Are you ready for some shopping...I really want to know."
We laughed about the early hour and pictured shoppers tired...
Standing in those lines.. with coffee to make them wired.
We talked some more and I fell asleep to dream of happy things..
Then Joe got up and started dressing while a happy tune he sings.
"Where are you going" I asked him.."at this ungodly time,"
He smiled and said, "Why shopping, I have to get in line."
He's out the door this morning with breakfast in his hand..
His coffee in a thermos all set to beat the band.
I'll just stay home and think of him fighting at the mall..
And wait for his return when he has hit the wall..
This early morning shopping is not something I will try..
I wonder though about him...I wonder what he'll buy :)

He must be out buying you something special. What a guy to stand in lines like that!

Cute rhyme. I chose to stay at home also. Can't wait to hear what he bought!

Well Ladies....he hurried into the house and told me to turn my back so I couldn't see. He does like to shop and especially likes to go to Coldwater Creek, where he just sits and they bring him clothes to choose from. He has very good taste and I've never had to take anything back.
He said that he didn't have to wait in any lines and it was so easy. I really don't shop in stores much...but online shopping is my thing. Balisha

That is so cute! For several years now, I no longer have the energy to shop in stores, so I have been shopping on-line, too. Aren't we lucky that we can do that. Before the www, I shopped Sears and Penney catalogs.

I would never venture out on Black Friday to shop. However, I've worked my share of them! As a retail mgr, I had to be at the store early- back in the old days- that was 6:30 for a 7 am opening. Nowadays, it's 2:00 for a 3am opening!!! Yikes.... I am really glad that I no longer hold that position! LOL It was always a busy and productive day, but a 12 hr. day was really tiring. Nowadays, I stay home and get ready for holiday decorating. :-)

Oh my - I am finally feeling almost normal. I could not move Friday or Saturday. Cooked all week and took me Friday and part of Saturday to get home back in order. Either I am slower, messier or too fussy :)
No way could I shop on Friday.
You have a special one and I know there is something special for you.

Ladies...I love online shopping especially buying used books at Amazon for 15 cents and paying $3.99 for postage. I just am so thrilled when I find one that I have been looking for.Sometimes they are brand new.
