A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Monthly Garden Bouquet for October

Here's my bouquet for October. I wanted to join in with Noelle and others, in making bouquets from what is growing in our gardens. My bouquet is made up of asters and mums in a vase crafted from a fresh pumpkin. Why don't you go to http://www.azplantlady.com/ and join in? It's really fun to see what people from all over have growing in their yards.

Hi Balisha. Your pumpkin bouquet is just so pretty and I love your ducks on the mantle. Have a great week!

Thanks, Lona. The ducks never move...Joe's collection and I have to decorate around them. There are more. Balisha

It's beautiful! I have to make 3 centerpieces for the MG luncheon using pumpkins and pansies. Wish me luck! :)

Very pretty, Balisha, and what a perfect container for it! I love your header photo as well--beautiful.

Hi Linda...Good luck on making those arrangements. Are you going to hollow out the pumpkins to use as vases? I used to do this with the mini pumpkins as well. Balisha

Thanks Rose...I took the header picture last year. The colors were gorgeous until the railroad sprayed and killed so many of the trees. Balisha

Your bouquet is so pretty. You are so talented in so many ways. I can't wait to hear about all your adventures with Tweety! I had a parakeet when I was a child and loved it. Have a good weekend.

Hello Balisha,

Oh, I love a bouquet in a pumpkin! We actually did this for centerpieces for my daughter's November wedding and they were just lovely. Maybe more people will be inspired to do the same :-)

I love the pumpkin turned vase. There are quite a few blooms in my garden, I should make a bouquet. :)

What a cool bouquet, Balisha! You couldn't get more autumn than asters and mums in a pumpkin, could you?!! Love it! (I might have to copy this idea at Thanksgiving.)

Beautiful autumn arrangement.

I love your pumpkin bouquet. I have a fake pumpkin vase that I usually bring out this time of the year. I usually put asters in mine, too...not sure if I will use it this year.

oh Balisha, what a wonderful bouquet!! I love the use of pumpkins and gourds as vases. Your centerpiece is perfect for this time of year. I also have a soft spot for ducks - a pintail takes centre stage on my cabinet.
