A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Pair of Visitors

Picture from the internet..

Tuesday Morning Visitors by Balisha

Tuesday morning found me in my breakfast nook..
Watching birds while looking at my favorite garden book.
The feeders just were filled with some suet and some seed..
The early birds were here just looking for some feed.
Suddenly a pair of birds that I had seen before..
A Titmouse and his lady friend were flying in for more.
This little pair of soft gray birds with tufts upon their heads..
Were the reason I was sitting there and not lying in my bed.
They come each fall and stop to eat and then they fly away..
The come again and grab a seed and make the feeder sway.
They travel with a crowd of favorite little birds..
This day it was a Chickadee whose little song I heard.
I wish they'd stay.. make this their home...they really are so dear..
I guess I'll have to sit here and watch for them each year.
Maybe if my feeder's full of seeds they love to eat..
They'll stay here for a while...for me it'd be a treat.

I was sitting in my chair by the window on Tuesday morning this week. The feeders had just been filled and the birds started coming. It was a morning I'll never forget...I could hardly leave the chair to get working. The visitors were...in 1/2 hrs time A pair of cardinals, a pair of titmice, several chickadees, a nuthatch, finches, sparrows, downy woodpeckers, a red bellied woodpecker I just can't remember any more. I just bought the seed from Farm and Fleet. I bought it there because I didn't have time to go to the feed store and get our Byron mix. Maybe I'll change my brand of seed...it's much cheaper and the birds seem to love it.
