A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Bloomin' Tuesday

The prettiest part of my yard...is the most neglected. The woods border continues on without any care. The heat and mosquitoes are keeping me from sitting on this bench. I look at it longingly, just waiting for the day when I can go back there to sit and watch God's little creatures. This morning is cooler, but I'll bet the pesky mosquitoes are still lurking. The last time I went back there, a brown woolly creature lumbered away from me and up the hill behind the woods. It was a very chubby groundhog. I startled him and he startled me. He was the size of a bear cub. A healthy, brown, furry coat. I'll try to go back quietly this morning and see if he's come back. Joe says he'll eat everything....I said, "Be my guest Mr. Groundhog....eat all the weeds to your heart's content." This is what I have to show for Bloomin' Tuesday. Check out the other entries at http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/2010/08/its-bloomin-tuesday_16.html . Jean is the host. So many wonderful places to visit.

What a beautiful spot Balisha. I would be sitting on that bench daily just soaking it in. :)

Balisha, You have joined Bloomin' Tuesday with a beautiful photo. I can see why you love that area. I hope the groundhog can tell the difference between weeds and flowers. lol! Love your header! Jean

What a lovely spot to sit and read a gardening magazine--once all those mosquitoes leave!

Balisha! That is just a beautiful place to sit! When you discribe your wooded areas..my heart hurts. I miss that sort of thing so much. There are times when I almost feel I cannot breath here. There isn't really any place to take a "pretty" drive.

Probably why I try to make this yard as pretty as possible... :)

My chin. Well..I hope you did notice that my head was turned a little... that always helps. I have had a double chin all my life..and I am surprised it doesn't show more in the picture.
Thank you so much for the compliment. My girlfriend took those photo's of me just before I met Howard. I was sitting at my computer. She only has one of those small little digital camera's with nothing special..and I thought she did well.
Since then I have gone gray (sick of pay all that money..and who was I fooling?!)
Howard is progressing so fast. It is amazing to watch. I do dread him having the other knee done though, and it will have to be done eventually as it is giving him a bit of trouble. Not much..but enough.
It has been near 100 degree's here for the past two days...and my hanging baskets are suffering. I have to water them at least twice a day..it is sooo dry.
Sending you a hug, Balisha...and my best to Joe!
I have not kept up on my visiting so I have no idea how he is doing. I visit one or two and that's about all I can do...I need to get a plan. :)
Mona
p.s. Your header is fantastic!!

Thankyou all for taking the time to comment.
I do sit there when the mosquitoes aren't out, Racquel.

I enjoyed seeing all of the other Bloomin' Tuesday entries, Jean. So many pretty flowers in our world.

Lynn...I just started my fall cleanup too. A little each day.

Hi Zoey...thanks for the compliment on my bench. It is a favorite place in the yard.

Now Mona...Your comment could make some wonder what you were talking about.

(Are you that groundhog you saw wasn't Mrs. Tiggiewinkle huggying off to do her ironing you saw?? :))

I know exactly what you are speaking of...I used to have a little music box with Mrs. Tiggiewinkle on top. She was one of my favorite characters of Beatrix Potter. Beatrix had a pet hedgehog named Mrs. Tiggiewinkle.
