I was sitting on the porch last night and over the railing I caught sight of a little movement in the Mealy Cup Sage. Bees were buzzing all over this pretty flower. I had never really sat and watched this particular flower, but I did last night. Bees and butterflies were all over them. I usually include some of these in my spring planting. They are a spikey flower on a stiff shrubby stalk. I try to keep them deadheaded, so they bloom into fall. After the rains...there they stand while the rest of the flowers are drooping over the edge of the pot. I planted these at the Grotto this year and they are doing well too. This Salvia known as Mealy-Cup Sage because the flowers and stems are fuzzy. The bluish green leaves and the deep blue flower spikes bloom all summer long until first frost in autumn. They are also called Victoria Blue. The mealy cup has sort of fuzzy stems, however. Next year I'll remember to plant these with things that will not get beaten down by rain or wither with extreme sun.
My daughter arrived in China. She's tired and was ready to sleep. She played her word in our online Scrabble game first. The score is tied. I asked if we had to play Chinese words now...

I love that little Victorian restaurant. It looks like such a good place to eat. Glad your daughter got there safe, too. Hope your Joe is doing better. I can go to pick up my sister for lunch and it never fails we both have on something very close to the same thing every time.
I love the new look!!! I tried to click on the picture of the salvia to get a closer look but it wouldn't let me. I think I have that, but I'm not sure... Glad to see your daughter arrived saftely. Hope you have a great week...

Joe is much better. We went to a birthday party for our grandson and we stayed for quite a while.
