We have some dear friends who are going through some hard times right now. My friend's husband has Parkinson's Disease. She is so strong...(although she doesn't think so) and doing things that she never dreamed she would have to do.... being a nurse for her husband, taking care of everything that needs to be done in their house. She is there for her sick husband through thick and thin. We were awakened this morning by a phone call from her. Her hubby was on his way to the hospital, after a very bad night, and she was to follow. When she cries...I cry. It is a way of coping for us...when heart breaking things happen. I have such love for these two people and I can feel their pain even though I'm not there. I know that we all have times like this in our lives...sometimes all we can do is listen and let the other person "unload" We considered driving in, but felt that we would just be in the way of the family. At times like this some people have a sixth sense when it comes to knowing what to do. I feel so helpless right now. I guess that the best thing for me to do is just listen to her, when she calls and pray for them. We will be waiting by the phone. Sometimes you wonder...why do good people have to suffer so?

I think that this Bible verse says what I want to say...
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Balisha ~ May your friends feel God's love surrounding them at this time. May you also feel His love and peace surrounding you.

Through all the trials that we have been through this winter, the best friends have been the ones that were willing to listen. You are a good friend to her.
