A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Present From Mother Nature

Here we are in Northern Illinois this morning...
I didn't get outside yet...and this is what happened overnight... and is still going on. It is a world of black and white this morning. So beautiful untouched by footsteps. Soon the plows will be by, people shoveling and snowblowing, the sound of kids laughing and making snowangels. What a wonderful present from Mother Nature! One of these pictures will be posted at Nancy Bond's Soliloquoy...she hosts The First Snowfall Project. Be sure to check out first snows as they happen across our country. Thanks, Nancy.

Balisha

A fresh snowfall brings a subtle change to the music of the woods ... Now all sounds are muted, as if nature stands in awe of the great changes it has brought to the land. This is a time for the nature-lover to read the diary of the forest, for the snow is a page on which each passing animal inscribes its message."

All pretty, clean and white. Kitty looks content to be inside today ;-)

Balisha, beautiful pictures. My area in Tennessee is windy with dropping temperature. Cold rain yesterday. Nothing to take pictures like you have posted. Have a good day!!!

OH Balisha! Simply gorgeous! How I love Winter..REAL Winter! As a child I grew up in snow (Portland Oregon) and we got a TON of snow every year. I remember it was hard to get the front door open after a storm and the ice cicles were from the edge of the room to the snow. A wonderland and that is what you have!
Made me almost cry to see that...

I also want to thank you for being so sweet about my "plate" tree. There are tiny spoons on it that a friend painted. I am still working on it..but needed to get something posted.
You always make me feel good!

I went for my hearing test yesterday..extensive...and found I am going deaf in both ears. I had NO idea. I did, just a few days ago, discover that when plugging one ear I could not hear my birds ..or my fountain on the porch! :( Age I suppose. No hearing aid yet...but he said I should come back again in a year or so.
:) How are you doing? I hope you are getting back to normal.
And your hair is growning back? FRESH hair... :) I 'm teasing you!
Love and hugs!!
Mona
I feel like doing a happy dance, as they say, that you really like my tree!

Hello Balisha, ole man winter seems to be everywhere. Here in the PNW it is unlike anything we've seen with the frigid temps. Stay warm.

I want to be nice and warm like the kitty in the window. It is so nice to see the snow for although we have had 16 degree temps...no snow.
