A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Morning After Halloween by Balisha

It's the morning after Halloween ..last night was so much fun..
I sat beside the door till the kiddies were all done.
They came up to my door, and some said trick or treat..
The tiny ones, my favorites, were looking oh so sweet.
Little cats and bunnies and then so many more..
Audra was a pirate...the girl who lives next door.
The treats were in a basket..I bought them at the store..
I waited until eight or so before I shut the door.
I really was a good girl, till at last I went to bed..
I dreamed all night of Snickers...they were dancing in my head.
When I got up this morning the candy was still there..
Having some left over was really very rare.
I hemmed and hawed and turned around and then I left the room..
Thoughts of Snickers stayed right with me until so very soon.
I made a bee line for the candy, that I had shared with everyone..
This morning in the kitchen I forgot about the fun.
I looked to see if Joe.. was peeking round the door..
I popped that Snickers in my mouth and then so many more.
I'm sitting here a blogging and I have a belly ache..
I'm feeling very guilty..don't scold me for Heaven's sake.
When the belly ache is over and I'm headed for the door..
Your comments here will stop me, before I eat some more.
If you comment and just scold me and make me more aware..
I'll make the choice to leave them or I won't fit in my chair.
So before I post this poem and put it here to read..
If I want another Snickers..I'll have to put on speed.
Balisha :)

I put a picture of a Snickers bar at the beginning, but didn't notice the razor blades cutting into it. I took it off...didn't think it was appropriate for such a happy post. Balisha

Snickers are my favorite to, so I didn't buy any this year. As of Thur. I have lost 30 lbs since July 20th. I am really trying to be good... All my little ones lastnight were so cute. I just love Halloween. The kids loved my carved pumpkin...

Hi Balisha, I have to confess: I ate some this morning, too. Enjoyed your cute poem, and that is such a cute picture in your header. Isn't Lynn a good girl and really should be congratulated on her successful weight loss program. Now that Halloween is over, she will be an example to me to remember and block temptation during the holidays.

You can have the Snickers; are there any Reese's Cups left?

I gave out things that Joe and I don't like..I used Snickers for the poem.
Good job, Lynn...on the weight loss. I loved your pumpkin too...don't you hate to throw it out after the holiday?
Barbee...let's you and I help each other resist temptation up till the holidays.
Nell Jean..I didn't buy Reeses...my son's favorite. Thanks for reading and paying a visit. It's all about the candy today...tomorrow the diet.
