A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Laddie's Birthday

Today would have been Laddie's 12th birthday. Here's a little poem that I wrote in honor of his special day.

Laddie's Birthday

Today is Laddie's birthday..I'm here to tell you so..

The puppy came into this world just 12 years ago.

He was a little rascal playing with his toys..

The red ball was his favorite and it brought him so much joy.

He liked to chew on furniture with his little pointed teeth..

He played till he was tired then he fell into a heap.

This puppy grew to be a dog that everybody loved..

He's gone to be in Heaven now and is playing up above.

He left a big hole in our hearts to fill it would be hard..

The tales of many days gone by when he was playing in our yard.

Chasing rabbits was his favorite thing.. he did it in his sleep..

The memory of that dear dog is one that we we'll always keep.

I like to think he's chasing rabbits and running up above..

When we finally go to meet him and show him lots of love.

Hi Marnie,
He was such a sweet and loving dog. We are still getting over it... if you ever do.

There is nothing like the love of a dog... I don't think I will ever be without a dog, When our last sheltie passed we got another one. We could never replace Mac but having another sure made things easier. Playing with a new puppy kept us busy and happy, laughing each day...
Today is my fathers 84th birthday, we will go to Cracker Barrel for dinner. I am so fortunate to still have two healthy parents at this age... Have a good day!!!

We aren't going to get another dog. It's just so hard when they start to grow old. Hard on them and hard on us.
Tell your Dad happy birthday from his daughter's #1 fan.
