A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Trough Garden is Started

It's just about finished. I want to get a couple more mossy hanging type plants to put on the edge. I put this in the back of my driveway garden. It butts up against the porch foundation. My hubby said, "Can you get anything else in that tiny garden?" He's the gardener who likes things orderly one plant next to the other across the garden. I'm more of a haphazard type who loves things to intertwine and fill in so no weeds to pull.
Now that it's finished, I wish I had broken pieces out of the sides, so I doesn't look so much like a box. The part of gardening that I love is the attitude of ...I'll do it differently next time.........I can always change it later....just one more plant will fix it...wait till next year.

The box looks wonderful there. I garden much the same way you do. I put plants in to fill a space, and if I don't like it after a while, I move it. I think being creative is more than half the fun of gardening.
I am going to call the local fish mongers today to see if they have any of those styrene boxes, if not I will ask at the Fishin' Club's next meeting, if anyone has some lying about they want to get rid of.

Great attitude! I have the same one. One more plant here, move that one over there, this pot would look better here. I love the ever changing aspect of the garden - nothing formal and fixed for me!

Thanks keewee and Gram...I'm with you two on the casual way of gardening.

Lovely, haphazard it may be but to me it looks more natural :)

Looks great. I love that. My hubby is NOT interested in gardening at all.

I'm feeling better today and started on my medication. I have to take it twice a day. I hope I won't get those attacks.

John and I are going to clean out the garage tomorrow. Boy does it need it.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I like the box there, too. I am always taking a piece off something and sticking it down somewhere else to get it started in another place. I do most of the gardening around here.
