A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Pictures of Our Yard Aftet Two Grueling Days

Here are the after pictures. The red mulch is down and we are two tired people. Today we are going to just do what we have to do. This morning Joe watered it all, so it would settle in. I do love the contrast between the chartreuse green and the red mulch.
Our neighborhood is full of baby robins hopping around, following Mom and Dad for a worm. Orioles are everywhere with their beautiful songs. The little gold finches are hanging on my tube feeder like little canaries.
I am looking out my window, by the computer, and see the houses across the street. Our neighbors take such pride in their homes. The houses in this area are all different...the yards are all different too...no copies. It makes it nice to go for a drive and see what people have done with their yards. The colors of the day in my yard are bright spring green and red. Soon there will be more flower pictures here, but for today it's just foliage.

Thankyou. We watched a movie this afternoon. It's very warm here...so glad we got it done before too much heat.

Your garden looks beautiful. I love the red mulch and that lemonade looks just wonderful. I have not had lemonade forever. I am going to make some this weekend! Have a great relaxing weekend.

Oh Balisha...I know you are worn out, but it looks just gorgeous. I am wondering if I could put that in the little ugly plot out by the street. It is just a muddy mess..and needs something to keep the ground nice...I thought of potting soil...now I am wondering if this might work...it really is so pretty.
I wish people took care of their home around here better. It is not a great neighborhood...and at least some of our neighbors have followed suit to some degree and fixed up their yards...or at least watered their lawns. How they can live in a home and let it go like that is beyond me.
GREAT job!!

It was hard work, but when I took the dog out this morning it all looked so fresh. We had too much mulch and now our neighbors are using it.

You & hubby did a great job, your garden looks so neat & tidy. The mulch just sets everything off don't you think? I always think of it as icing on the cake. :)

Balisha, I know you are tired but it was really worth it. Your beds look so beautiful.New mulch just makes everything stand out. My son thinks I am the Queen of mulch :-) that is just because I always volunteer him to get the bags for me every year. Your geese look so natural there. So pretty.
I am trying to catch up on the blogs today because I got so far behind playing in the yard all week. Have a great weekend.
