A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Saying Goodbye

Well, we are into the new year. Woke up early and let the dog out. It was so cold and he has to find just the right spot. Twirling and twirling till he decides. We were to have an early morning visitor. My daughter was leaving to go home to DC. She was stopping at 7:30 to say good bye. I made biscuits and we had a small breakfast. Her kitty, Huntley, was in the car...waiting for her. Laddie would not be a perfect host for a cat. After visiting it was time for her to start her 12 hour drive back home. I am a nervous mom and watched the weather channel before she got here. It looks pretty good for driving today. I've been saying goodbye to her since she was 18 years old. It doesn't get any easier. I don't see her very often and I know each time she leaves, that it will be a while before we see each other again. I'm hoping that she will come here in the summer and we can do some gardening things. For now...she is on her way back home. I always call her "precious cargo" when she travels. My mom started that years ago and I continue it.
I received an email yesterday and thought I would share it with others. It was really an interesting youtube presentation for women. http://www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=u_4qwVLqt9Q Enjoy.

I am not in the mood to take down the Christmas decorations this year, so I think they will stay till the middle of the month. I guess I don't want to say good bye to Christmas either...just yet.

It is always hard to say goodbye when the children leaves.
Our oldest son lived in Australia for three years. Now we have all four around. A real blessing.

Hello Lynn, Britt and Judy,
Thanks for reading. I think we all love our kids and Mom's just want the best for them. Mine range in age from 40 yrs on up and I still worry about them, when they travel.
That youtube presentation was really touching...there was something in it for all of us.
