A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

December Muse Day....Balisha's Morning

Something happened during the night...

I woke to a world silent and white.

Icicles hung from the snow filled eaves,

Diamonds sparkling in all the trees.

A little bird walked on the rail...

Jumping along..bobbing his tail.

He came to check and find some seed...

This was the time for him to feed.

Sitting there in my rocking chair...

He looked at me with a sorrowful stare.

The bird feeder swinging was needing some seed...

So cardinals, finches and juncos could feed.

Out of my nightgown and into my slacks...

Out to the garage without looking back.

I opened the hamper, where we keep the food...

And ran to the deck to take care of my brood.

They looked at me with such delight...

I told them all, "Now don't you fight.

There's plenty here for you all to share...

You know my dears that I really care."

Run along and bring your friends...

I'll feed you all until my end.

They flipped their tails and flew away...

I know they'll be back at the end of the day.

Balisha

Once in a while I get a stirring in my brain and I think of a rhyme. My Dad wrote poems like this and I have them all. This morning, after looking out the window, I thought this up. I grabbed a pencil and pad of paper from the desk...and then my flashlight. I wrote it quickly...so as not to wake hubby. He just rolled over and just said, Balisha...Balisha.

Thank you for writing and sharing such a great poem! Was it the cardinal in your header photo that was extra hungry? :-)

Carolyn...Thanks for letting me share my poem. It was fun to read what others chose.

Shady Gardener...I didn't take the cardinal picture. I wish I was that talented and wish that my camera could capture it.

Ohiomom...You're so kind. Thanks for reading so many of my posts.
