My favorite garden catalog arrived yesterday. It is the David Austin Handbook of Roses for 2009. It is the tenth collection for the USA. 107 pages to delight you. What a beautiful work of art. I don't have many roses in my yard, but if I were better at growing them...I would have a hard time deciding which to buy. The pictures are so beautiful...each page a different rose. Wonderful growing tips, ways of using roses in your landscape, pruning tips, rose food, etc. The catalog is printed on wonderful paper...you could almost frame the pictures. I ordered a rose from the catalog last year and was pleased with the way it arrived. It was in excellent condition and there were great directions for a novice. If you want to sit down with a cup of tea...during a snowstorm ... and dream of summer ...maybe you would like to order this free handbook of roses. Here is the address. http://www.davidaustinroses.com/american/Advanced.asp

Thanks for the link Balisha. I love David Austin Roses. Scepter'd Isle looks like a winner to me.
Hi Racquel,
You have such success with roses...isn't that a beauty? :)
Balisha, my father grew roses .. he was very proud of his rose garden. Whenever I see a rose it brings back memories of the time he spent pampering them :)
Hi Ohiomom,
I have heard of several men who have rose gardens. I think they take patience and a lot of TLC. Nice to have happy memories.
