A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

What a Wonderful World

What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green........ red roses too

I see em bloom..... for me and for you

And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue..... clouds of white

Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights

And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky

Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by

I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do?

They're really sayin......I love you.

I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow

Theyll learn much more.....than Ill never know

And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

I heard this song in the car on the way home from Mass this morning. My husband sings it too. I love the meaning behind the words. We really do have a wonderful world... even with all the problems. The line...the colors of a rainbow so pretty in the sky..are also on the faces of people going by.....Louis Armstrong sang this so many times. He believed it...even with the racial discrimination that went on in his lifetime. Sometimes we just hum a tune or sing it and really don't pay attention to the words and their meaning. This song is beautiful to me.

My husband is making a CD. He has a little studio in our basement. This is one of my favorites that he sings.

What a wonderful painting. What a wonderful boy.

Sadly I don't know the little boy. I found the picture on the internet quite some time ago. Now I wanted to use it and don't know who to give the credit to. I didn't think I would get in trouble for using it...he's so cute and proud of his work.

Hi Balisha...

I came across your blog through Caroline's Crayons...

Beautiful posts here... And yes, it is indeed a wonderful world that the Lord has given us... I think that the song aptly reminds us to always keep a happy and positive outlook in life...

Hi Coolwaterworks,
I appreciate your comments. I am going to miss the blog "Crayons" I hope she does come back in the spring. I have told so many people about her talents. She could take the ordinary and make an interesting story about it...with a few crayons.
I am always interested in other parts of the world and will enjoy reading about your life and times during our long winter.
Come visit again.
