I'm going to start blogging now...I'm ready to go. This is very depressing for us and I want to get out of my mood and the best way I can think of is to blog. Since I'm confined to my house..I will just try to forget all my troubles and just let go. This morning, going into Rockford the fields were covered with a mist and the big red sun was coming up. I told Joe..."Look at the sun," He said, "Balisha...I'm driving and have to concentrate on the road." Things are more wonderful to me now.... More beautiful to me. There's a new wonder in my world....and it's in technicolor.
Today I received a huge beautiful mum plant. It is rust colored and full of buds. It's from good friends. In the hospital I received roses, a mixed bouquet, and a basket of green plants. I'm always glad to get a basket of mixed green plants....they pack so many into the basket, so that while growing ...they crowd the basket and need to be transplanted. I will have green plants all over the house. I got a gourd shaped vase holding a green and yellow speckled plant. Not sure what it is. This winter will be spent watering and caring for my collection.
I'm going out to water my plants by the driveway. I have been sitting on the porch listening to the bees buzzing in my flowers. The humming birds are busy rushing back and forth from the feeders. If I close my eyes...I can hear the sounds of nature all around me. The robins are gone, the chickadees have taken their place. Chickadee..dee..dee they say. They are busy little birds flitting to and fro in the yard. Swooping in for a seed and flying back to the woods. Here's a little poem about a chickadee.
The Chickadee
The chickadee is very small..
Swooping in for seeds this fall.
They pick a seed and fly away..
To the woods they like to play.
Back and forth, oh little one..
Little song for me to hum.
Chickadee.. dee.. dee is how it goes..
It thrills me so from head to toes.
My heart is full of wondrous things. It spills over with emotion.
