A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Garden Blogger's Muse Day ...Feb.1,2010

Amaryllis

Looking in the window bright..

Big red flower gives me delight.

Amaryllis, sits there in my view..

One big bud and flowers new.

Ugly when it started out..

Color now just makes me shout.

Oh, Amaryllis growing tall..

I'll have to tie you to a wall.

You gave me cheer through days so dreary..

Your demise will make me teary.

Great poem, Balisha! I know exactly how you feel--my first amaryllis bloomed just time for the January Bloom Day and certainly cheered me up. It has since died back, but another one is about to take its place. Yours is such a lovely color!

That's a nice poem to go with the gorgeous amaryllis, Balisha. Happy February to you.

Balisha, how nice that you are so talented that you can write your own poem for Muse Day. I enjoyed it.

My grandson was so impressed with how tall they grow before blooming. He kept calling it the beanstalk.

Thanks to all for comments. I have one more growing tall and just about ready to open. Donna, My grandson, Collin, grew an amaryllis too. He was amazed how tall they grew.
