A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

55th Reunion

I'll tell you a funny story. Five years ago, when we went to the 50th reunion, we went down to the room at the hotel and noticed all these "old" people milling around. Joe, who thinks he's still a kid, said to me, "Balisha, I think we are in the wrong room...these people are old looking." I laughed and told him to go look in the mirror. He hadn't seen some of these people in 50 years and it was a shock to him. :)
The 55th Reunion

We had a class reunion most everybody came..

When it's the 55th the party can be tame.

We started with a lunch at a restaurant with some "girls"..

Remembering their names put our old brains in a whirl.

We went up to the room and dressed in clothing new..

An outfit that was stylish and a pair of comfy shoes.

We walked down to the party when everybody came..

I wondered to myself..why is this party tame?

We worked the room and found that we really didn't know..

The names of many classmates we laughed and told them so.

The laughing started getting loud and everyone was talking..

The guys were seeing some old flames that one day they were stalking.

The "girls" had hair of gray and very snazzy clothes..

Trying to remember thoughts of old flames I suppose.

The party was now ending and we were getting tired..

But first we ate at Bennigans for we were really wired.

The party ended after eating, and we went up to our room..

We had a king sized bed which brought us so much gloom.

It wasn't very comfortable so hard that we lost sleep..

I went searching for a blanket around the room I creeped.

The night went on for hours while watching clocks all lit ..

When morning came at last we hadn't slept bit.

We got ourselves all ready for the busy day ahead..

I wanted just to sleep and stay in bed instead.

We went to breakfast at a place we used to go to eat..

Then on to the reunion early.. so we could find a seat.

The partying went on and on throughout the early day..

The tables were so pretty and we ate without delay.

The program was so full of fun and prizes given away..

We visited some more and wanted just to stay.

We hugged and then said our good byes to friends that we had met..

We'll be back again in five years on that you can only bet.

In the car while driving home Joe turned to me and said..

Who was that guy I was talking to ..I think his name is Fred?

We went to Joe's reunion from high school. It's a big deal for him. He keeps the data base for the class. I was busy taking pictures during the two days. I won't post any pictures here, because you wouldn't know anyone. A classmate has a blog just for the pictures. If you want to take a peak...here is the address...
