A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Lavender, Rosemary and Sage

I just had a hard time believing that I was outdoors working this afternoon. My mums across the front needed cutting down, and since Joe has a new tool for cutting low to the ground....it was the day to try it out. It worked like a charm and  took just minutes. Then I picked up the mum stems plus dried flowers (they were still lavender and pretty fresh looking) and packed them in between the stems he left sticking up. A mulch, so to speak. I sat in my green chair and worked in the sunshine. Moving around to the herb garden...I found rosemary, lavender, and sage...so pretty and fresh. I came in the house and got some  shears and went out and cut a couple of small bouquets for the house. We have a lady painter here... doing some decorating for us and she went through the room and took a whiff. She said that she hated lavender..."Pooey...I hate lavender...an old lady scent!" I just chuckled to myself at her rudeness...Who asked her anyway? It's a scent that you either love or not. I had just this morning bought some lavender bath soap at the store...guess I'm an old lady.
Now I have to go and try to add some colored lights to an already decorated tree. It has clear lights on it and I really would like to change it. If it's too much trouble our little tree will sparkle with only one color light.I'll try to post some pictures of my decorating here at our house tomorrow.
Have a nice evening everyone...
