Spring...author unknownWhen the rain is splashing down..
On the fields and in the town.
Singing winds begin to blow..
And the flowers start to grow.
How glad I am when I have seen..
Those tender leaves of gentle green.
They warm my heart and make it sing..
For now I know at last it’s spring.
Spring makes the world a happy place..
You see a smile on every face.
Flowers come out and birds arrive..
Oh, isn’t it grand to be alive.
We woke to the sound of thunder. Joe heard it first and asked if I had heard it. Then came a rolling louder thunder and I heard it too. I raised the blinds and lay there watching the storm coming. The trees were swaying and Blue (the blue spruce) was moving. Little birds were hanging on. They hadn't felt rain for a while and were anticipating nice juicy bugs on the surface of the soil. Those little yellow, green, shoots will really start popping up all over the garden. The buds on trees will open soon. Spring is so welcome this year. I was thinking...if we hadn't had such a harsh winter, would we be looking forward to spring so much? I love the seasons...I look forward to all of them. Have a great day. Happy spring!
