A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

New Boots With Flowers

A slushy rain is coming down. I started out to walk up the drive to the mailbox, but came back in. The rain was freezing as it hit the ground..Call me Nervous Nellie...I don't care. There's nothing in the mail so important that it can't wait until tomorrow. Joe's not to happy about the mail sitting out there overnight...grrr. I'm sure he wishes he could go and get it.

Rain makes me think of warmer days and gardens.Rose petals with drops of rain , Squishy earth to walk on. Birds pulling earthworms out of the soggy ground. Puddles in the street. Trees dripping on us... as we walk under them. The sound of rain drops falling into a bucket. A bright colored umbrella. A yellow slicker. Wellies to keep our feet dry......and new short boots.
I splurged and bought a pair of these. I have a couple pair of crocs, but when the ground is dewy...water gets in the holes and makes my feet wet. I wanted something that I could wear to town with jeans on a rainy day. Now, I'm looking for a new umbrella to go with. These will certainly spiff up my gardening wardrobe of old jeans, chambray shirt, pillow ticking denim garden jacket and sometimes a hoodie underneath. Hope I don't scare the wild life in my yard! Remember March 20th is Spring.

These are darling. I think all gardeners, me included, have some very sweet quirks, and being bright and colorful is a happy one!

Very fun. My garden shoes are just plain green. They do the job though.
