A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Change is Good

I guess you noticed...I changed my blog a little. I like to change things once in a while. I used to move my furniture around and even changed whole rooms at one time. In the spring I would clean like crazy and move furniture out and maybe put it somewhere else. Fall came and I was on the move again.I had paneled walls and that made it easy to change picture arrangements too. The tiny nail holes didn't show in the wood paneling. I would go in between the panels and put nails there.I loved doing this a few times a year. Christmas time was the best...I could change the way I decorated at the drop of a hat. Now, that I'm older, and have very heavy furniture...change isn't so easy. I  have some pieces of furniture that just sit there, in the same place, because neither Joe nor I can move them. So, I have to find other things to change. Plants for instance...will find a new home once in a while. I move them up and down the stairs. A few plants say...."Whoa, you're not moving me...I won't bloom where you want to put me." I move dishes in the cupboards. I have a set that I use from August to February and another from February through July. The switch has been made. At Christmas time for a few weeks...we use a whole new set of dishes...my Christmas ones. I'm always changing things in my gardens. If a plant comes home from the greenhouse with me...it better be ready to move. Once in a while.....the plant wins...like my Russian Sage. I dug it up from the west side of the house and put it in the woods. It died in the woods, but the next spring it burst forth on the west side and grew bigger than ever...guess I hadn't got all the roots. My clothing moves too. I have two wardrobes downstairs and one closet upstairs. You should see the migration of my clothes spring and fall. So, when it comes to this little ole blog....you never know how it will look. Today, I ushered in fall...a wee bit early. I just had to do it. It's the only thing I can change today :)

My hubby used to tell people, "When I get home from work, I never know where my chair is going to be...Jude keeps rearranging the furniture!" At one job I worked at their motto was "Change Is Good"--I disputed that in my mind to "change is good, if it is a good change." Every time they fired someone, they'd say their motto. Every time they changed a perfectly great procedure to something that didn't work as well, they'd say that dang motto. I have never liked that motto, but in your case? Change IS Good!!!

Love your new header..
I use to change rooms around a lot
but not anymore since I cannot move things by myself. So guess everything stays the same.
Have to admit I look at the furnishings recently and think how can I change this room around...

You look all fall-ish / back to school-ish here now. Perfect. Now that you did that I hope Mother Nature doesn't see it and send us a heat wave just to show she's still boss! :)

I have started seeing some colorful little leaves on the ground lately and the weather just seems "fallish" to me.
Mother Nature just might do that...hope not though.
