A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Comfort...by Balisha

I woke up in the morning...the sleet was coming down...
I crawled out of my warm bed and looked up with a frown.
The skylights in the living room.. were being pelted so..
By sleet and rain...a mixture... bouncing to and fro.
I turned on yard lights, with a flash...of lightning in the air..
The yard was empty except for rain..no critters anywhere.
Turned off the lights and crawled in bed with down up to my chin..
I shivered once or twice just then... but found some comfort in,
This cozy nest that was my bed...how lucky is this soul..
To have a place so warm and nice when others are so cold.
So, this year when you're  complaining about your problems few..
Take time out to thank the Lord for things he's given you.
A home, for you, that's nice and warm.. and a table full of food..
A Christmas tree with presents and everything that's good.
I for one will thank him... for watching over loved ones all...
And keeping us all safe this year, family members big and small.

Lovely, as usual. I thought of you and Joe when I saw the weather projection a day or two ago.

Balisha, so can relate to what you share. Temperature dropping, wind and rain. I have so much to be thankful for. Home, walking, talking, eyes, food, children and grandchildren and on and on.
But the high dose of prednisone that is suppose to help heal me
makes me feel terrible :)
