A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

It's Bright and Sunny Today, and I Have Lots of Energy

Well, Halloween has come and gone and the holidays are just around the corner. Our Nov. calendar is filling up with Dr. appts and so forth. We always have our appts at this time of the year, so everything from eyes to the rest of the body will be checked. Last week, I went to the eye doctor and got some rather disturbing news. My macular degeneration is worse and I'll need to go to a specialist in Rockford. My mom had this disease and was blind when she died, so I have to be careful. Now I need to have my yearly physical and mammogram. So, that will keep me busy this month....but not too busy that I can't make plans for Thanksgiving.

I have decided to have Thanksgiving here this year. I thought maybe my time for having big holidays was over, but not wanting to let go quite yet...I decided to give it a whirl. I don't know how many of our family are coming yet, but we will have a table full I'm sure. My posts will be full of preparations for this special day.

We went to Mass last night. It was All Saint's Day...a Holy day of obligation for we Catholics. The Church was full and we had a beautiful service...the music making it so beautiful.I always get my Catholic "fix" so to speak at Dawn's blog. http://dawnathome.typepad.com/by_sun_and_candlelight/   She is a young mother, who homeschools her three sons. She follows the Catholic year with her teachings and makes it so interesting for even oldsters like me. I read her blog most every morning.

Today, I have designated to cleaning the chairs in the house. When I told Joe what I was doing...he said, "Wow...that sounds interesting...I'll be you can't wait!' I laughed and thought about it a while but, all joking aside, I am going ahead with it. We have so many wooden chairs with spindles that need polishing and dusting once in a while. They all have cushions tied on them and those need vacuuming. Also the underneath wooden supports will have to be dusted and polished. So that's on my agenda today. It will probably take me most of the late morning and early afternoon. Wow....next thing on my list are the chandeliers.

I had better get started now...I've already started doing housework and stopped to write this post. I write them most everyday...while sitting here the words flow. Nothing is saved for another day...everything right off the tip of my tongue as it occurs to me. So somedays it it good and some days I might want to delete...but I never do. Goodbye my loyal readers...till tomorrow.

Happy cleaning!

I love doing housework too. It's a good feeling to whirl through the house and make it look nice and smell good. As we have the carpenters doing renovation in the attic, the cleaning is not really appropriate. I have to wait until they will have finished their work. Maybe in two weeks?

Have a nice weekend. Regula

I am sorry about that disturbing news, Balisha. I hope health care for eyes has improved since your mother needed it. We both have eye problems, but not that one so far. I do eye drops before I get out of bed each morning. Won't you feel good to have all those chairs do-did-up! And ready for the holidays. Good idea to get a head start on tasks like that. Today, I'm cooking Joe's peppers.
