A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Tiny Amaryllis and an MRI

I got my Amaryllis bulbs in the mail on Saturday. This year I am trying something different. Mini Amaryllis...one called Firecracker, and one called Fanfare. I had to really search for a company that sells them. Blooming Bulb is the name of the company that I ordered from. They are both bright red. The directions are different for these mini bulbs. They need to be soaked in lukewarm water for several hours before planting. So there they are...soaking since 6am. I'll plant them after lunch today. They promise to be much shorter than the regular ones. and the flowers will be smaller too. I haven't decided whether to put them in individual pots or both in one...I will buy a new big bulb too, this year. Probably not red...My bulbs that I have kept from year to year...didn't do well in the heat of our summer. The little chipmunk chewed a few holes in them. Even putting them in different places around the yard didn't help....he found them anyway.Actually I put them out of my mind and really cut down on my outdoor work in the hot summer. I needed a couple of new ones this year. The old ones were blooming last year, but not as pretty as if they were new bulbs.
I watched the PBS program...Call the Midwife again last night. It's really a wonderful show. Call the Midwife is a moving insight into the world of midwifery and family life in 1950’s East London. We are introduced to the community through the eyes of young nurse Jenny Lee as she arrives at Nonnatus House to live and work as a midwife alongside an Order of Nuns. I am really enjoying this after reading the book. This program isn't for children, but I would recommend it for women and some men.
Today is bright and sunny. We had a good rain yesterday, so today looks so fresh outside. I don't know how many of you were followers three years ago, but at that time I had brain surgery. It's written on my blog and also Joe's posts while I was in the hospital.I had an MRI one year later and then was told that I could wait for 2 yrs before I would need another. Well, it's 2 years and tomorrow I'm scheduled for another MRI.If you would care to read about this you can go to my archives and find Sept 1st 2009. While I'm lying in that big machine tomorrow...I'll be writing (in my head) a poem about my experience. So, tomorrow I won't be here, but the next day you can expect a poem from me.

I had you on my mind last night and am glad I dropped by before bed. Hope you MRI is fine and you will be able to relax now.

Some ladies in my knitting group were talking about "Call The Midwife" and I checked it out. Had to watch the first one on the laptop, but that is ok. It is really a good show.
