A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Drake's 2nd Birthday

Here is my bonus for marrying Joe. I can share in the joy of watching this little one grow up. This is Drake, when he was born. Precious~

Here he is two years later at his party. We noticed big changes from last year. He is starting to show us his personality. Very interested in how things work. His face shows how he studies everything. The other little guy is his cousin Luke. Luke was born about two weeks after Drake. Such fun for them to grow up together. Last year they kind of ignored each other, but this year they played together. No squabbles about sharing toys....yet. We adults just sat back and watched the entertainment in front of us. They were so busy...each finding new things to do. Lots of new toys. The hits at the party were the toy trucks that made noise with sirens and horns.
The birthday cake was made of ice cream... from Dairy Queen. Everyone had blue lips and the kids had blue mustaches from all the food coloring in the lettering. First we had lots of dips and chips, then pulled pork sandwiches, pasta salad, a potato dish, deviled eggs, and baked beans. These grand kids of Joe's love hot and spicy things to eat...so my mouth was on fire. Couldn't find anything cool like a carrot stick or cucumber ...guess they don't eat veggies. The cake was delicious and cooled my mouth down. We had a great time...just sitting and listening to all of them talk and watching the little ones play.

What a sweet way to think of them. I used to think of our children as "bonuses", too. You are so fortunate to have little ones in your family. Our youngest is 12 yrs. old now, and thinks she's 17. :)

Little children playing happily are one of the great joys in life. Their innocence and grace are a pleasure to behold. They don't stay little for long, especially if you are of mature years yourself; I am sure you know how time flies after 50.

Thank you for visiting my blog, perhaps we can become friends.

So much fun watching the babies grow. Such a blessing...

Our family get togethers were always fun...and then the kids grew up and the people and the parties were pretty predictable. Now with the babies...it's more fun again. I don't know...the little ones bring life to the party. I guess we old folks need some entertainment.

Hi Brit...
I enjoyed your post about your lovely daughter. It won't take long and he will be as old as Ingrid. Time goes so quickly. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Friko,
I do know how fast time goes by. The little ones are two now...seems like only yesterday when we were waiting for them to be born.
I really enjoyed reading your posts and will visit again. Thanks for visiting mine...Balisha

Hi Penny and Pat...We find that if we haven't seen them in a little while...they change so much. They are such fun to watch. They are too fast for us to take care of, so we leave it to the younger ones. We get all the pleasure.
