A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony

I don't have time to post right now...just wanted to say that the English did a fabulous job with the opening ceremony for the Olympics last night. We were thoroughly entertained. My favorite part was when 007 James Bond went to Buckingham Palace to get the Queen.

He took her to an awaiting helicopter and she boarded then they took off. After arriving at the arena she parachuted down to the waiting crowd. This looked so real and had me laughing. The Queen is such a good sport and I've heard that she loves humor. Only the English have that special sense of  humor that I love.

I'll be back with more later on. There were so many wonderful parts....but this was my favorite.

I did try to watch, but I kept falling asleep. Fortunately we were recording it just in case we needed that. Will try again later to watch. I've found many bloggers' reviews interesting. Balisha, I'm sure you are super busy and cooking for the weekend (and perhaps guests). Want to thank you for helping me with order of the slow cooker. I used the link you gave me, and by using my small gift cards, I was able to get it for $65.85. It arrived late afternoon yesterday. Now, what will I cook first!

Hello Bangchik and Kakdah,
I think that I remember you visiting before. Welcome back. It wasn't really the Queen in the parachute...just a person impersonating her. I will come and visit your blog and see what is going on in your country.
