A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

It's Hot! by Balisha

I wanted to plant and go outside .....It's hot!
Maybe take a country ride...It's hot!
I really need to do some shopping....It's hot!
Cleaning house would keep me  hopping....It's hot!
I'll  rest today if I choose  ....It's hot!
My porch is comfy but seldom used...It's hot!
The mail came, I could pick it up....It's hot!
Put some ice cream in a cup...It's hot!
Now my thoughts start thinking cool.....It's hot!
Don't want to look like such a fool...It's hot!
I'll act like kids and get the hose....It's hot!
Getting wet from head to toes...It's hot!
Eat a Popsicle and let it drip...It's hot!
Down my chin and past my lips...It's hot!
I feel a little cooler  so.....
My body tells me what I know....
I'm starting now to feel  much better...
I can cope with heat and this hot weather...
I'll take it slow most every day...
Can fall be very far away?

I love your poem!
It would be great to have a little bit of heat over here....
All the best, JX

Balisha, same here and maybe it is hotter here in Tennessee. Do know my beautiful manicured gardens look awful - now the weeds are overtaking. So much to do and I do not feel like doing anything...

Well, today it hit 100 deg. It was supposed to be cooler, but you know old mother nature. I just went into the living room to watch the weather. Rain might slide right north of us and next week is full of 100 deg days. Need I say more?

Suppose to be cooler here too, but the humidity is still high. I hate it! Feels just like winter to be closed up in the house.
