"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie."
~ Tenneva Jordan
Last weekend, while sitting at Mass, the air conditioner was on...and it was so cold. A mother and her four children came in and sat in the pew in front of us. The mother had a sweater on, but one of her little ones was bare armed. He was about eight yrs. old. She hugged him to her... to keep him warm during the first part of the service. She tucked him under her arm and tried to cover him with her sweater. She looked like a mama bird. A little later during the homily, she took off her sweater and put it on him. He was embarrassed to wear a woman's sweater...and looked around to see if anyone was looking, but she said it would be OK. The little boy warmed up quickly, but the mom sat there in a sleeveless blouse and I noticed goose bumps on her arms. That's what being a mom is all about.

Cooking most of week :)
So pleased family will be here.
Exactly..and Balisha, YOU are one that would notice such a thing in church. I think you are one that looks for that quality in others as well, and that's what comes through on your blog.
Happy Mother's Day.
Love,
Mona :)
Aw, what a sweet story, Balisha! I think every mom can relate. There's not much we wouldn't sacrifice for our kids - it seems to be the essence of motherhood.
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
