A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Early Morning Call

The sun rose on a frosty morning. We've been waiting for a call from Wisconsin regarding a relative of Joe's. We got the call, early this morning, that Joe's very young cousin is having a heart transplant...right as I write this post. This young man, in his 40's was sick with pneumonia not long ago and his heart was infected with a virus. He had never been ill before. He didn't smoke or drink. The picture of good health. He simply got pneumonia and the rest is history. He was gravely ill at that time. Doctors installed a new implant called left ventricular assist device, or LVAD. A device was implanted in his chest, with the exception of the batteries, which he wore outside his body. He related to Joe's son that he was scared to change...he is used to this device and in getting the transplant he would have to learn to live all over again. He was put on the list and today his name came up.We just hope and pray that it works. He's such a young man and has so much more living to do with his young family. Please keep him in your prayers.

Fred's son went through much the same thing, but no transplant. He is doing much better with his LVAD. Am praying for your young man--hoping the next call you get will be one that brings wonderful news.

It is amazing sometimes how fast things can change. Prayers are going up for him.
