A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Little Garden Waking Up by Balisha

Little Garden Waking Up by Balisha

There is a garden very small...it is beside the drive..
Looking out a curtained window, from a room that's just inside.
I watched this little garden through snows so very deep..
I dreamed of posys every night while I was fast asleep.
When Spring was finally here..though it was still quite cold..
Through snow so deep the flowers pushed ..to me it was so bold.
Tiny little snowdrops and crocus by the score..
I saw little baby iris, grape hyacinths and  more,
The colors were so pretty.. with mulch the color  red..
The lamium that nestled close was like a comfy bed.
A week or so ago when the daffodils were pretty..
Spring winds were blowing strong I thought it such a pity..
So I picked a small bouquet.. and brought them in to stay..
My garden came indoors on that cold and windy day.
I hope my little garden is beautiful this year..
With roses and petunias and other flowers dear.
This plot I'll tend with loving care..with a gardeners love you know..
My flowers will bloom and flourish..I really do hope so.

Little gardens really are the best and it's always nice to bring a little of the garden inside.

I have a hard time picking my flowers. I'm getting better at it though. This is the garden by the front porch...the first thing you see when coming up the drive.
