A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Doggie At My Mailbox by Balisha

Picture is from several years ago at my old house.
Doggie By My Mailbox by Balisha

Sitting here this morning.. I'm gazing at the view...

Just outside my window, I'll tell you what is true.

My neighbors walking by, with pooches on a line..

The dogs with noses on the ground.. look for a spot so fine.

When they see my mailbox, they tug and pull and strain..

They look just so darn happy, but to me they are a pain.

I plant each year some lilies.. and pansies too for show..

To make this spot so pretty for people on the go.

The dogs just seem to like this spot.. I'll never know just why..

I watch them from inside and breath a little sigh.

I guess they really need to "go" and I've made their place so pretty.

If they couldn't stop here briefly..it would be a real pity.

I'd miss their antics when they pass...a pulling and tugging so..

It's worth the planting work for me.. to see them put on a show.

After all where could they go on my really pretty street?

I'll have to share my mailbox and keep it not so neat.

I have a neighbor that owns 3 huge black labs. He walks them at least 3 times a day. I have come to the conclusion, he walks them so they CAN go to the bathroom in the neighbors yards! Many times I have stepped in doggie poop from a big dog in my outer yard. I don't blame the dogs. I blame him. Another neighbor mentioned it, too, but this guy lacks a little upstairs, if you know what I mean. I don't want to say anything to him because I don't trust him. I feel sorry for the dogs!
