A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

November Monthly Garden Bouquet

Here it is November...Thanksgiving week and my flowers in my No. Illinois garden are still blooming. You just can't beat mums forcold weather endurance and color. The Belgian Mums pictured are mixed with dusty miller. I have had dusty miller stick up in the snow here many years. One year I used it to fill in my Christmas herb wreath. I had problems with this plant at first, but with almost constant watering in the spring, it took off and is now still looking pretty good.

Next month is December and we northerners will have to get creative with what's left in our yards. Our bouquets might not be so colorful, but we can pull it off with various shapes and textures. Let's keep this fun project going...in all seasons.

This monthly project was the brain child of Noelle at http://www.azplantlady.com/ Why don't you go take a peak at all the entries this month? It sometimes takes a few days for all the entries to go up...so go back often and check them out. Better yet, why not join us? We people in the north are starting to wonder what we can do to create posts with nothing growing in our gardens. We may feel that we have "blogger's block" With a project like this...we can be on the lookout all month for things to make up a bouquet. Maybe scouting around our yard will give us some ideas. Please join us.

We had snow this past weekend so I'm already thinking about how I will possibly be able to create bouquets over the next few months. But I'm resolved to try. That's part of the fun isn't it? Discovering the beauty in your yard where at first glance you might think there isn't any. A lovely bouquet this month using the silver tones with the pink. I'm envious of all those lush pink blooms.

Those are some tough plants! Love the purple and silver together! We have year-round color here, but it's still a challenge for me to figure out what to cut and just to get the courage to do it. I love this meme just because it does showcase what we have doing well at that moment in time.

Your bouquets are always beautiful. I am sure they are a reflection of you. Hope you both have a great Thanksgiving.
