March Bloom Day, by BalishaIt's garden blogger's bloom day..I went out in the yard..
To find a flower blooming I knew it would be hard.
I searched and searched and couldn't see..
A posy blooming... Just for me.
The daffs were there with buds so tight..
No crocus popping...they're out of sight.
The snowdrops bloomed a while ago..
My fushia tulips were budding.. so,
Went in the house and looked around..
Aimed my camera at what I found.
Amaryllis and cactus were sitting there..
One on table one on chair.
They were so pretty and still in bloom..
My winter companions...colored the room.
They brought me happiness.. thru snow and rain..
Today I need them.. I'll not complain.
I'll post a picture...just once more!!
Next month will find me out the door.

Where are my manners? I neglected to mention Carol at http://www.maydreamsgardens.com/ who hosts these garden blogger's bloom days. So many of us take part in this each month. Balisha, What a sweet little rhyme! I am not a gardener, so I have nothing poking though the ground except the moles! LOL Yup, they are back again so the chemical guy came out today to try and kill them. Thanks for your support during all this chaos we are going through. You've been a good friend. hugs,Sue

Your ever blooming cactus has really been a hard worker this year. It is so pretty and you know I love the amaryllis's.We may get some daffodil and tulip blooms soon Balisha. ;-)
Lovely flowers. As I can't have them indoors any more I never get tired of watching them elsewhere :-)

That must be a St Patrick's Day cactus. Too early for Easter, too late for Christmas:)
Very nice and cheerful poem on this gloomy day. Nothing blooming at my house either. In fact, if your daffodils are in bud, you are way ahead of me.

My "Christmas" cactus is just now blooming too. It had blossoms at Thanksgiving and again now. And I thought I was mixed up LOL.

Sue, We have those pesky moles too. Also voles....and you're welcome. I could feel how much you needed it through the words you wrote. We have so many wonderful bloggers...I consider them friends.
Lona...I just went out and checked the daffodils. They are almost ready to pop. With the warm weather this week...they just may do their thing.

Hi Marnie...This is the third time it has bloomed this year. Crazy plant. It blooms...I take it down to a cooler basement and it sets buds again...then starts the process all over again.
Hi Jackie...As I told the previous commentor...It is the third time it has bloomed. I just love it...Pretty soon it will go outside with my other houseplants. How are things going with you...busy lady? I've never known anyone with more interests and talent.Say Hi to your hubbie.

Love your poem! Things are starting to bloom in my early spring garden. I hear there is a big cold front headed our way--I hope that doesn't include freezing temps! :)
Love your wonderful words of blooms. The weather here is changing and I can see the one group of daffodils that always blooms a full week before the others is ready to burst open.
Also on another train of thought...37 years ago, on "March 15th" Lou asked me to marry him. I always remember "Beware the Ides of March" Bloom Day is probably better.
