The day was so beautiful and time for a ride..
The trees were just changing in the countryside.
Let's stop at Walmart my hubby did say..
I need a few things to brighten my day.
Inside he went and went straight ahead..
I lingered in notions for a spool of thread.
He had a smile on his face as he carried the sack..
We went to the checkout without looking back.
We got in the car and to my delighted surprise..
Was a gift so wonderful for my waiting eyes.
Lynn sent my poems to the store for a book..
I opened it carefully and took a quick look.
My poems were all there and I suddenly feared..
My eyes could not hold my ongoing tears.
Oh, thankyou dear Lynn, for taking the time..
To make up this book of a old bloggers rhymes.
I will always remember the day that I took..
A ride to the Walmart to pick up this book.
I will always be grateful for friends such as you..
Your heart is so big and loving it's true.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou...Lynn. You made me smile :)

Kudos to Lynn. What a wonderful idea.
Wanted to stop by and see how you were doing. I'm feeling much better but a little tired today. Only a week until I have surgery. Will be glad when this is all behind me.
It's been so pretty these days. The weather is wonderful and this is my favorite time of year. The nights are so cool but I still run the window fan and pull the quilt right over me. :-)
Hugs
Glad to see the book turned out ok, thanks for putting it on the blog... Hope you are feeling much better, I bet you are glad the staples are out!!!
Hi Lynn...
I am so glad to have the staples out. Now my hair can grow. I wore a beret to the Dr. yesterday...Joe called me "Monique"
What a truly thoughtful gift. Glad to see that you are on the mend.
You asked my first knitting project...I think that I am going to work on some hats on double pointed needles and scarves to match them. I have a mother's mission nearby that needs them and my daughter's school needs them for kids that don't have. They pass them out around Christmas.
