A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Laddie is in God's Loving Hands

We have sad news this morning...We decided to put Laddie down today. I heard his labored breathing all night and woke to tell Joe...are we keeping him alive for us? He's suffering, Joe. We did the unselfish thing and put him to sleep. Now he's running in Heaven...chasing rabbits. Please pray for Joe...as he's having a hard time with it.

So sorry to hear your sad news. I am praying for you Joe. I had to do this same thing a year ago and I know what you are going through. Our animals become like our own kids and this is sad when we have to let them go. He is at peace now.

My heart aches for Joe as he faces the pain of losing his beloved Laddie. I am so truly sorry, and I especially wish that this did not have to occur right now. I continue to pray for you and Joe, and I believe that brighter days are ahead for both of you. Blessings to you.

That is so sad. I feel for Joe. I know I would hate to lose Slinky and I've only had him for a year.

I will pray for Joe.

That is not the way I wanted my prayers to be answered, but who am I to question. Oh, poor Joe! I know it hurts and hurts deeply! I remember that pain. I am so sorry, Joe.

I decided to not replace my beloved pet, because I didn't want to go through that pain again. But, I have noticed, that those who get another puppy or kitten seem to recover more quickly. I think Laddie would be sad if he knew Joe was down in spirits. Who knows, maybe a new 'baby' would help you both. But, I couldn't do it.

I am so very sorry to hear about Laddie and will pray for Joe in his lost. Please tell him how sorry I am. I don't know if he has ever heard this poem but thought he might like it:

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Love and hugs, Judy

I am so sorry for your loss. It's hard to say goodbye to a dear pet. They become members of our family so quickly. Give Joe a hug from me.

It is always difficult to lose a beloved pet, but I hope you both can take some comfort from this -- that letting Laddie pass peacefully and painlessly is the ultimate gift of love.
