A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

I hate those things! I hope you and your family has a great 4th of July.

I have an ongoing fight with these nasty things....wish I knew plants that they didn't devour.

That photo says it all, doesn't it? At least to a gardener! :) I am so grateful they do not eat daylilies. They infrequently settle on them, and I've seen them inside the fading blooms, but no holes on the perfect blossoms. Yes!

We are taking out the altheas, though, and cutting back the hollyhocks. The darn bugs eat them alive. The hollyhocks should set out side shoots and, by the time they bloom again, the Japanese beetles should be done for the season.

Hi Rhonda...I guess that I have never seen them harm daylilies either. I have lots of daylilies. What suggestions for hanging baskets?
