A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Happy Mother's Day

You Know Your a Mom When...

1. You count the sprinkles on each kid's cupcake to make sure they're equal.

2. You find yourself cutting your husbands' sandwiches into cute shapes.

3. You can't bear to give away baby clothes - it's so final.

4. You hear your mother's voice coming out of your mouth when you say, "NOT in your good clothes!"

5. You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you.

6. You hire a sitter because you haven't been out with your husband in ages, then spend half the night checking on the kids.

7. You say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job", but you know you wouldn't trade it for anything.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day. I'm sure we all will have things to post about next week. Have a great day with your families.

I'll bet he loves them, Patti!
Lynn,
I had to laugh...my kids would all come and bring me flowers to plant. As soon as they went home...I couldn't wait to get out in the garden to plant it all. It's my favorite kind of Mother's Day...working with plants. No rain here either.

Happy Mother's Day, I can remember the day I realized I was my mother. I spit on a napking to wipe something off my son's chin and thought, oh, no, I have become my mother! A little terrifying at the time, but comforting also - she was a great mother. I got to work in the garden yesterday, but today it is rainy and cloudy and cool.

Thanks for all the comments on Mother's Day. It seems that most of us become our mothers. It's OK with me...my Mom was a treasure..I don't mind being compared. I only hope that my kids love me the way I loved her.
