A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Color in our lives

I have been fooling around with the heading for this blog for hours...it seems. I have had trouble getting my pictures to fit all the way across. Finally I decided to go with the one I have now. I realized just how much time I can waste in a day in doing this. I wanted to use the color red. This flower picture is red for the Valentine month.

February to me is the red month. It happens to be my favorite color and my house and clothing show it. I like to decorate the table where we eat with the seasons... and February is the best. Out come my dishes with apples on them, red tablecloth, a candle in the center and the table is set. Our furniture in the living room is cranberry. There are cranberry accents all over the house. I am knitting a red scarf right now. My amaryllis will be red also. I love red apples. Now the love of red doesn't follow me into the garden. I tend to like the pink shades of flowers. I have been planning my garden for the coming season and my mind travels to shades of pink and soft blues and grays. I have a husband who loves bright colors. Bright blue is his favorite. Oranges, reds, and yellows are his favorite, outside. Last year I planted marigolds for him, but I was not happy with them all through the season. I have some bright orange lilies that are really gorgeous, but they don't go well with the pinks and reds.

Color is a language. Color is one of the most fulfilling elements in our lives. Color can attract your attention or change your mood. It speaks to who you are, how you feel and where you're going. Color is one of the first things you notice when you walk into a room. Is it any wonder that color, and how you use it, is one of the most important decorating decisions you'll make in your home? Inside your home, the latest colors and the way they're applied say so much about you....your personality and decor.
From house to garden, color reflects your style and makes a personal statement of what your home means to you. This is what the decorating magazines say. I guess it's all a matter of personal taste. When you marry... two people have to blend and blend in the garden too. When God created everything...do you think he worried about color? Everything on God's green earth "goes" together. I guess we should remember this when we start planting. Sometimes the "mistakes" we make with color turn out to be delightful surprises.

Hi Balisha, I love your header. It makes me think of spring and I am so ready for it! Thank God I am finally almost back to normal and thank you for your comments and concern. My favorite color is blue. I love all shades of it and have a lot of it in my home. It makes me feel good but I like purple flowers best. Lilacs are my favorite flowers. I love their smell. I have a lot of catching up to do with my blogging friends.
