A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Mowing day ....one of the last.

This is mowing day. We had to wait until the grass had dried a bit. It will probably be one of the last days to mow, for us. We have leaves, but we leave them on the lawn and mulch them. We are in an open area and so many just blow away. This is what I am looking at right now...out of our computer room window. The grand kids and I visited the Lowden State Park not long ago. Our governor decided to close some of our Illinois parks this year. We residents have been fighting this. So far, I think it is working. What would a trip down the Rock River be without that wonderful park to visit and a trip up the hill to see this spectacular statue?
This is a majestic statue...standing tall over the river. I can remember visiting it when I was a child. A big part of our local history and a fall destination for so many.

We got the mowing done. Beautiful day for some exercise. What exercise will we have in the coming winter? Will we both be able to mow next year? These are questions that I think about once in a while. I guess we will just plug along like we have been doing and get exercise where ever we can. I ride the bike downstairs, but it is boring to me. We have a track at the high school...we may take advantage of that this winter. Hard to exercise, when you would rather be a couch potato.LOL I need motivation.

Great photos, Balisha. I will be glad when the mowing is over. It may not be quite over here.
