A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Watercolor Painting

Here is the watercolor that I did in my painting class this morning. It is my first attempt at using these paints. I have painted with oils and always been in control of the paint. This is a real challenge for me. I have to learn to free up a bit and let myself go. Probably good for a person who likes to be in control. LOL Here is one that I did at home during the week. I am having a good time with this. Winter won't be so long this year...with a new hobby. I'm no Picasso, but I'm happy with the results. Next week's lesson sounds much more difficult and hopefully there will be more to it. The possibilities are endless with painting like this. I can find things in the yard to stamp....maybe even some of those weeds.
These photos are not so good, but I had to get this post done in a hurry. We are going out to eat now.
It's raining again....we got about 3 inches during the night. So humid....tomorrow I am roasting a turkey (good grief)...hope the weather changes to cooler.

Oh I really love these, thanks so much for posting the pics. This is a medium I have never ventured into, I want to try my hand at this now.

Also love your new header, we don't have nearly that much color in our trees yet.

That picture is the road leading to our area. I took it a couple of years ago. We have such a short time to enjoy fall colors...I thought that I would put it there now instead of waiting till Oct.

I think they are fantastic Balisha. I have no artistic ability when it comes to drawing or painting. Gardening & home decor are my strengths. Looks like you found a great winter hobby. I love your new header by the way. Beautiful fall foliage.

I love the watercolor pictures. You are good! It is nice to have things to keep us occupied during times of boredom. We are getting 35 to 45 mile winds today and supposed to get rain tonight. Guess it is the remnants of Ike. We sure do need the rain here.

Hi Balisha,
These watercolors inspire me to try something new. You have a great sense of color. I urge you to keep going with them.

Thanks for your kind and humorous comment on Crayons.
