A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Eagle

We went to the breakfast nook to eat a bowl of bean soup yesterday... in the early afternoon. As I brought the spoon up to my mouth I saw it. I didn't elaborate....I shouted bald eagle! There was the huge bird soaring on the breezy winds. Over and over again it flew over our house. We live in a neighborhood quite close to the Rock River. I have seen a couple when we were on our way along the river to Rockford. This area is known for being the winter home for these majestic birds. I've seen them many times, but I still get a thrill when I watch them. Last year many in our nation were watching the eagle cam in Decorah, Iowa. The Decorah Eagles are back for another year! On Feb. 17, the female eagle laid her first egg. Watch them grow! This eagle cam is brought to you by the Raptor Resource Project, who set up this cam atop a tree at a fish hatchery in Decorah, Iowa.
I know that we'll be watching this again this year.

Hi Balisha Swetie...
Oh my gosh what a site this must have been. I can in mind see the wings open wide, the bird soaring and wonder what he sees below. Breakfast, lunch or supper? I have only seen one in my life, and they are breathtakingly beautiful in flight. I love their scream as well.

Thank you for sharing dear one. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Thank you for posting this link Belisha. I have caught it when she is chirping to her mate and when they switched sittings, as well as taking a peek and seeing 3 eggs! Fascinating viewing!
