A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Wedding

The wedding was beautiful. Some may think that it was huge waste of money, but it really isn't any of our business how they spend their money. The Brits love the Royals and a day like this was so pleasing to so many. It brought a little beauty into each life standing in the crowd and watching on TV. With all the bad news and tragedy it was nice to spend a day just looking at something pleasant and beautiful.  I loved every minute of it. The English are known for their gardens and this wedding had so many touches that a gardener would love. From the tree lined Abbey to the flowers on the wedding cake. Kate requested that the Abbey be as much like a garden setting as was possible. I think they pulled it off. The Abbey is so huge...it was a big task and the greenery and flowers made it more pleasing to the eye.
Kate's wedding bouquet was a shield-shaped wired bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley sweet William and hyacinth  The bouquet was extremely small in comparison to the beautiful, sweeping gown she wore, but the tiny blooms echo the delicate lace on the dress. Her bouquet contained a charming tribute to her husband...sweet William. I love this girl.  She also believes in the "language of flowers" and those ideas were incorporated in the wedding cake,as well. It has 900 sugar paste flowers, and each tells a story. William's cake was a chocolate biscuit cake.

The bouquets carried by the little bridesmaids used the same flowers, but the wreaths worn by the little girls resembled Catherine's mother's wedding flowers: ivy and lily-of-the-valley.
Kate will not toss her simple little bundle of flowers to the single girls during the reception. Instead, it will be returned to Westminster Abbey to be placed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I wondered what the red carpeted area was...In addition, Kate and William have asked that all the trees that lined the Abbey be replanted, along with any of the flowers that can be replanted. The rest, the newlyweds asked, should be given to charity. The news coverage might have been a bit overdone, but you can always count on the press to over do it. One thing I learned...Prince Charles has never put his own toothpaste on his toothbrush. This couple will live a more simple life in a five room house with no help. I think that they want some privacy. Now, if that British press will only leave her alone.

I may be silly but I watched it as long as I could before I had to get ready and go to work. In fact I started at 4 am! I thought it was beautiful and very sweet. I think she and William will make a great pair.Especially loved the trees in the Cathedral.

When I saw the trees I thought: What a good idea, baskets of ferns would have been lost in there!

I could express the same sentiment.

and so much in love.
All - touch my heart deeply...

I liked it also Balisha, regal but simple, no stuffiness.

Well I did not get up to see the wedding but I saw all of the news reports. What a gala event. Wasn't the avenue of trees in the Cathedral something else. What a great idea. Felling like you were outdoors without the rain. LOL! I think the simpler bouquet and her sleek gown was so in good taste. I was hoping she would not be a frilly mess. LOL!She looks beautiful. I hope they leave her alone to but I think it all comes with the office.

a young couple like that need privacy and the fact they will have no servants to put the toothpaste on the toothbrush makes me feel better.

Don't believe all you read. That toothbrush thing is always going around. Who knows, but I doubt it but maybe his old valet did it once.

The trees are going to Highgrove, Prince Charles garden that is so popular with visitors and garden enthusiasts that the waiting list is 2 years.

As for the expense of the wedding. It brings tourism to London like nothing else, helps the fashion industry, etc. etc. After all our future King will be King of 16 nations world wide.

I loved the address by the address by the Bishop of London. He spoke out not only for marriage but Christian marriage. In fact loved it all. Spectacular.

I loved the wedding! They are a beautiful, young couple in love and real royalty. I have adored William since he was born. He and my grandson look so much alike. I love the fairytale look of their wedding as much as I loved William's parents wedding. It was a joy to watch~~~
