A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Fall Color Out My Door and a Lesson to be Learned

This is what fall looks like in my neighborhood. This is the road that leads to our development. Here is the maple tree that I gave to Joe a couple of years ago.
This is the cranberry bush that Joe gave me for Mother's Day a few years ago.

It's funny how we don't remember from year to year, how vibrant the colors on the trees are. Joe said just yesterday, "That tree has never been so pretty." We do forget.. so that each year it is a present to us from nature. I like to think that God is responsible for this....giving us a gift to hold us through the winter months.A couple of evenings ago he suggested that we go for a drive along the Rock River. It was late in the day and the sun wasn't out. I said that maybe we should wait till a sunny day. Anyway...we went. Driving up the hill to the statue of Blackhawk, we drove through the most beautiful woods. It was like the sun was shining. All the trees were yellow along the way and me without my camera. I didn't take it, because I didn't think we'd see anything of note. So here I was in this bower of bright yellow leaves with no sun shining. It's a sight that I will never forget. This taught me a lesson. I'm glad that we went for that drive because tomorrow it will not be the same. It just shows you that you shouldn't put off anything...it may never come again.

The colors of fall are so beautiful. Possibly, the prettiest time of the year. I find that every time I leave my camera at home I need it. Great photos. Have a good week.

I just love it when people plant plants for anniversaries, birthdays or other important events. It makes them that more special. Yours are so beautiful with their fall colors.

Wow. Fall looks spectacular where you live. I just love the vivid colors this time of year. I like your idea that autumn is a gift from God to get us through the winter ahead. Beautiful. Blessings to you.

What beautiful colors. Here in
Colorado we do not get the vibrant colors as you do back east. We do have our gold aspens though which are pretty spectacular.

I think you are right about the colors being a gift from God to get us through the winter grays. I always notice that just before frost take the flowers in the garden, the colors are the most vibrant. Thanks for the heads up to enjoy this time of the year.

That is a good lesson to recognize and to share. I once saw a spectacular sight and took my husband there so he could see it. Of course, by then the light had changed and there was nothing left of the view I had seen. That is when I realized that lesson.

I am always excited to see pictures of winter and fall (especially fall) because we don't have these seasons in my country. How I wish that even just once, I could see the fall colors here :)

I love looking your pictures of trees and plants. Some of them we don't have here so they all look new to me.

Have a blessed day, Balisha.
