We Fell in Love

Did I get you with the post title? We did fall in love...with this refrigerator. Our old fridge in the basement conked out a couple of days ago. We wondered...could we get by with just the one in our kitchen? Then we started to give it some real thought...watermelon, pop, beer, party trays, extras that we buy on sale...the decision was easy...we needed one in the basement. I walked into the appliance store, thinking that we were going to look for a small one for extra groceries. Nothing fancy...just a basic refrigerator. Joe, on the other hand, had something else in mind. He went right to the deluxe models. We have both hated our refrigerator in the kitchen ever since we bought it 5 yrs. ago. It's a side by side and just so difficult to find anything in there. We have a half wall on one side of it, so you really have to wedge yourself in to put things away and to clean it. With this in mind, he felt that we should buy the refrigerator of our dreams for the kitchen and put that "pain in the neck" fridge downstairs. After telling me his idea, I couldn't have been happier. I have had freezer on the bottom refrigerators before. Things go in the tidy drawer and don't fall out, when you open the door. I have always loved this kind. When we bought the one 5 yrs ago...the appliance companies weren't making very many of these. So, we found the model we wanted. Can you see under the crispers...a deli drawer...just roll out this wide drawer and select cold cuts and cheeses. Oh, my! There goes the healthy way of eating. It's coming on Friday. We can't wait!

I just love the new fridge! It is beautiful. I have a side by side and I don't like it either. This will be my next one, too. I open the door on my freezer and stuff falls out and I run! You lucky girl, you!

I had a bottom drawer refrigerator many years ago and I loved it, always easy to find everything in the freezer.

Good morning. Well now that looks like a great fridge. Everything about it looks to make it a very handy one with all of the shelves and things. They have came a long way in the last few years.

Congratulations on the new member of your family LOL! It's a beauty. I have been expecting our old clunker to go out any day for years. I read your post with interest. Thanks for all that info, I might need it.

My daughter has one like that. I just love it. I have a side by side but I don't keep a lot in it since Bo is gone but frozen meals in the freezer and milk and bread in the frig side.

After twenty years our old fridge died (2.5 yrs. ago) and we bought a freezer-on-the-bottom model and I do love that feature.

I hope you love yours, too!

It seems that we all like the freezer on the bottom. I guess the manufacturers listened to women and started making them again. Balisha
