A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Are You a Morning Person?

The last few days, I have been up before the sun. I am really a morning person. I love to get up and sit and watch the sun come up...watch for the first bird to come to the feeder..just sit there and think about my family, pray for people who need prayers, and plan my day. I get such a burst of energy at that time of day. I can have a load of laundry in, empty the dishwasher, tidy up the house, get dressed and do a post on my blog in no time.
We got married in the late morning. The hymn that I selected for the processional was "Morning has Broken." A very favorite song of mine. I have loved it since the 7o's, when it was so popular, sung by Cat Stevens. We sing it in Church once in a while and I am filled with emotion each time. The Church that I used to go to had a Sunday when we could pick the hymns to sing. My hand was always in the air...selecting this song. Everyone got to know that "Morning Has Broken," would be the hymn that I would pick. Here are the lyrics of the song...isn't it pretty?

Morning Has Broken
As Sung by Cat Stevens

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day.

I love the mornings! I can't wait to get up on the weekends. I, too, have the most energy in the early morning.

I consider it a gift. I would really hate to be like most of the people I work with who can barely pull themselves out of bed in time to get to work. It must be miserable to live that way every day.

Love this song.
Yes, I am right there with you when it comes to being a morning person. It is still dark when I get up :)

No Balisha I am NOT a morning person but often wish I was. As I usually do not put out the light until midnight and much later it is unlikely I will make it. I AM an evening person though.
